JOE ROBACH OFFICE AND NYS SENATE OFFER INFORMATION FOR HURRICANE SANDY HELP

Joe Robach, his office and the NYS Senate want you to know the importance of 2-1-1 during this time.  Specifically,  Joe Robach, his office and the NYS Senate want all New Yorkers to know that 2-1-1 is available for people who need help during Hurricane Sandy. In addition to dialing “2-1-1” from their phones or cell phones (311 in New York City), residents can also use 2-1-1- web sites and disaster guides to find the help and information they need about food, shelter, health care, evacuations and other storm related needs. 2-1-1 offers full language translation services.

Backed up by other 2-1-1 call centers across the state and country, 2-1-1 New York  information and referral specialists use a comprehensive database to provide information and referrals to a wide range of government and charitable health and human services,

In addition, 2-1-1 call takers also offer important reassurance to those who are overwhelmed by the storm’s impact on their family and homes, and will advocate as needed to see that callers’ needs are met.  Below is information about regional 2-1-1 call center and their web address to access further information, 24/7.
